Artist Biography

We are really excited to start a new tradition at Come By The Hills Music Festival by signing our second Project WILD winner!  Last year we were fortunate enough to have The Dungarees perform, and this year we landed the latest winner - Brad Saunders.  Project WILD is a professional development program designed to educate, promote, develop and launch the careers of some of Alberta's up and coming country and roots artists. The project is part of a seven year, $4.9 million program, designed to kick-start the international music careers of 3 emerging Alberta artists annually. The project is administered by Alberta Music (Alberta Music Industry Association) and funded by WILD 953 - Calgary's New Country, through CRTC approved Canadian Content Development Funding.

Brad Saunders is an Alberta-based Country music star that, in just a few short years, has made a name for himself in the music industry. Brad has had the opportunity to open for the likes of Aaron Pritchett, Brett Kissel and Thomas Rhett and performed at several notable country festivals including Country Thunder, Big Valley Jamboree, and the Calgary Stampede.  He wrote the Stampede Anthem for Cowboys Calgary, which earned him an appearance on CMT Canada, and most recently won the top award in Project Wild 2017, his second year as a contestant.

Brad has spent a lot of time working in Nashville writing with many reputable songwriters such as Phil O’Donnell, Bruce Wallace, Erik Dylan, and many others.  In 2017, Brad co-wrote (w Trinity Bradshaw) a Christmas tune (Christmas With You) that was re-recorded by another Canadian artist (Renegade Station) and released to Canadian radio.

Brad originally hails from Glovertown, Newfoundland.
