The Little Festival That Could….

Come By The Hills Music Festival has emerged from the toddler stage and is now six years old! The line up is complete, the tickets go on sale May 15, 2016, and the volunteers are signing up to help put the show on the stage August 12 & 13, 2016 at the Mistahiya Retreat Centre.

The Festival opens on Friday night at 6:00 and performances that evening include Ken Flaherty, Charlie Jacobson and Cod Gone Wild. A fabulous way to start a summer weekend!

Come By The Hills is a strong family centered event and we’ve made a special effort this year to ensure that the kids take in the music as well as the activities set up for them on Saturday afternoon. First concert on Saturday morning is Peter Puffin’s Whale Tales! Peter Puffin is a Juno Award winning entertainer and has been delighting audiences of all ages for years both within Canada and internationally.

Check out our full line up and bios of our performers on website or check us out on Facebook. The music, as always, is a great blend of styles and genres. If you like country — rock it with Scott MacLeod; if blues gets you happy —check out Charlie Jacobson. Bluegrass more your style, we have the Steve Fisher Band. Our international flavour this year is Australia in the form of Glenn Skuthorpe. And to really round out the mix we have the spirit and verve of reggae with Souljah Fyah. Ticket prices have been held at 2015 levels and you will be hard pressed to find thirteen hours of live music for a better price. Early Bird ticket pricing is May 15 to July 31, 2016. After July 31st there will be a price increase in both single day and weekend passes.

The setting of the Festival is at Mistahiya along the beautiful Battle River and is far enough off the beaten path that cell phones aren’t likely to disturb you — and birdsong will be your alarm clock. The Festival site has camping spots, food concession, merchandise tent, and the best darn music in east central Alberta. Bring the family, bring your friends. Come out and join us for a summer weekend surrounded by the beauty of live music at an open air festival.

Make Come By The Hills Music Festival your Favourite Fun Weekend this August.
