Come by the hills to the land where life is a song.
And sing while the birds fill the air with their joy all day long.
Where the trees sway in time, and even the wind sings in tune.

Come by the Hills, a traditional song (sung by both Celtic Thunder (Damian McGinty), and Canadian Loreena McKennitt) perfectly describes a music festival nestled in the beautiful Battle River Valley in East Central Alberta.

We had an amazing weekend of friends, weather, and most importantly MUSIC at the 2012 Come by the Hills Music Festival.  It was so good that we are anxious to do it all over again this year!  Mark your calendars and get the campers ready because the hills will once again be alive in 2013 – August 16th at 17th at the beautiful Mistahiya hills.

The Battle River Music Society (and its amazing group of volunteers) has already begun their planning to bring you a great line-up of folk, country, roots, blues, rock, jazz and celtic musicians again this year!
